Who we are

SignalBoard is a lightweight feedback widget and dashboard built for product teams. We help you capture user feedback directly in your app, organize it efficiently, and keep your team informed through integrations like Slack. SignalBoard is operated by Goodspeed Apps.

Data we collect

We collect only what's necessary to provide and improve our service:

Account data

Email address (required for authentication)
Name (optional)
Organization/team name (optional)

Feedback submissions

When users submit feedback through your widget, we collect:

The feedback message content
Email address (if the user provides it)
The page URL where feedback was submitted
Referrer URL

Technical metadata

User agent (browser and device information)
We do not store raw IP addresses. For security and anti-abuse purposes, we may store an irreversible hash of IP addresses.

How we use your data

Provide the service: Display feedback in your dashboard, send notifications, generate analytics
Improve the product: Understand usage patterns to build better features
Customer support: Help you troubleshoot issues
Security and anti-abuse: Protect against spam, fraud, and unauthorized access
Billing: Process payments and manage subscriptions

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only in these circumstances:

Service providers: We use trusted third-party services to operate SignalBoard (see subprocessors below)
Legal requirements: When required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights
Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

Subprocessors

We use the following service providers to deliver SignalBoard:

Vercel: Hosting and infrastructure
Supabase (PostgreSQL): Database storage
Stripe: Payment processing
Resend: Transactional email delivery
Atlassian: OAuth authentication (if you connect Jira)

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual feedback submissions at any time. If you close your account, we will delete your data within 30 days, except where we're required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including:

Encryption of data in transit (TLS/HTTPS)
Encryption of data at rest
Access controls and authentication
Regular security reviews

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Export your data in a portable format

International transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Our service providers maintain appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.

Children's privacy

SignalBoard is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes by email or through the service. Your continued use of SignalBoard after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
