Slack integration
Get feedback delivered to your Slack channel. Daily digest or realtime alerts.
Connect your Slack workspace
Open notification settings
In your SignalBoard project, go to Settings → Notifications (or Slack).
Click "Connect Slack"
You'll be redirected to Slack to authorize SignalBoard. Select the workspace you want to connect.
Select a channel
Choose which Slack channel should receive feedback notifications. You can pick any public or private channel where SignalBoard is invited.
Choose notification mode
Select how you want to receive notifications:
One summary per day
Instant alerts per submission
Digest vs realtime
Daily digest
Sends one message per day (typically in the morning) summarizing all new submissions since the last digest.

- Great for async teams
Realtime notifications
Sends a notification immediately when each submission arrives. Never miss feedback.
- Pro only
- Instant awareness
- Great for high-touch teams
Troubleshooting
"not_in_channel" error
This means the SignalBoard bot hasn't been invited to your selected channel.
Fix: In Slack, go to the channel and type /invite @SignalBoard. Then try sending a test notification.
Messages not appearing?
- Check that Slack is connected (green status in notification settings)
- Verify the correct channel is selected
- For digest: wait until the next scheduled digest time
- For realtime: submit new feedback and check within seconds
Need to reconnect?
If your Slack connection becomes stale (e.g., after workspace changes), disconnect and reconnect from notification settings. Your channel preferences will need to be reconfigured.
Connection health (Pro)
Pro users can see Slack connection health in notification settings. This shows if the integration is working correctly or if there's an issue that needs attention.
Free plan note
On the Free plan, Slack digests exclude locked submissions (those beyond the 50 visible per project). Upgrade to Pro to include all submissions in your Slack notifications.
